Sensor Positioning in the Climatic Chamber

The positioning of the test pieces is made by using a 6-axes positioning system. The travel range in XYZ is 50 mm, rotary 360° or 10°. The linear axes provide a resolution of more than 0.1 µm, the rotary axes more than 0.0015°. For this task only standard positioning components were used. Control is effected by the use of a 6-axes positioning controller of the SMC series. The command is made either semi-automatically by joystick or full-automatically by software.

This 3-axes Fiber alignment system is a fully closed system in order to connect glass Fibers to optical construction parts. The positioning system mainly consists of standard components. The positioning stages are controlled by a PXI-system by National Instruments. The software bases on LabVIEW.

X-Ray Diffraction and Tomography

Positioning System for High-Vacuum 10-7 torr.
The 4-axes positioning system was especially developed for the vacuum 10-7 torr. The system has a common pivot point. All components are greased with a special vacuum grease. The manipulators are driven by vacuum motors of PHYTRON. The aluminum parts are not anodized. The system is controlled by the 4-axes positioning controller SMC-Corvus.

OEM Application for UV-Laser

The miniature Micro Stage MTS-70 was developed for vacuum application with limited space conditions. The drive is made by a special micro step motor without gear. For need of high positioning accuracy and repeatability (0.1 µm) the Micro Stages MTS-70 are offered with a length measuring system. An optimal performance of the compatibility is achieved by using our SMC or NI controllers.
